Besides their evident convenient use, the eyes have been a basis for muse for poets and dreamers since basically forever.
Between friends and loved ones, an effortless look or even glance can speak for how someone feels or what someone is thinking.
Alongside diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma is the leading cause of blindness in the United States. The risks are larger once we reach the age of 50, and symptoms are often so discrete that they may be overlooked and not even be noticed until the condition is moderately developed.
Premature signs can be restricted to a very slow loss of peripheral vision, but may also consist of red eyes or seeing halos around bright lights. Sadly, there is no cure. But, treatment can save the patient’s vision and can be as non-intrusive as eye drops.
The most significant treatment, is an early diagnosis. If you or another family member lacks vision coverage, speak with your primary care physician about the risks and options.
